Over 600,000 passengers pass through Aarhus Airport (AAR) each year on their way to destinations throughout Scandinavia and to a limited number of European cities. Conveniently located in Kolind, 40 km / 25 miles north-east of the city of Aarhus, the airport has an overall annual capacity for two million travellers and is also close to Feldballe, Horstved, Krarup, Stabrand and Tirstrup.

Aarhus Airport features three main airlines, including Denmark's very own Sun Air of Scandinavia. Daily direct flights operate between 06:00 and 22:00, flying to Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Gothenburg and London, from where passengers can connect to other foreign destinations.



The airport can be reached by car via route 15 from Aarhus, or route 21 from Randers. Buses run regular services between the city of Aarhus and the airport based on flight schedules, while Scandinavian Airlines even has its own limousine service for up to three passengers. Taxis are also available from outside the arrivals area to whisk passengers from the airport terminal to neighbouring cities.
